NSLP Verification eLearning Course

Tools Used

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Vyond Animation, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Wellsaid Labs

Context

This course was created in December 2023 as an introduction to concepts within the verification process for the National School Lunch Program. The module was presented as a required course for all program sponsors by the Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness. I created this course based on regulation requirements provided by subject matter experts within the division.

Conditions

I completed this course during scheduled course reviews. Each summer, the courses listed in the division's learning management system (LMS) undergo a series of reviews. I and subject matter experts worked together to update the course content and structure to ensure the information presented is accurate, easy to follow and engaging.

The course was created and published with Articulate Storyline and incorporates animated videos which were created using Vyond Animation.

Scope

This module was the introductory section of a five-part course accessible to users within the division's course catalog for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). External users complete this course to satisfy annual requirements while participating in the NSLP.

Role

As the Instructional Designer and learning management system (LMS) Administrator, I was responsible for the creation and management of this project.  I worked alongside subject matter experts (SME) who provided the required information for the project. Once all of the relevant information was acquired, I complied the data into a lesson plan, which was to be approved by the subject matter expert. I then developed the course in Articulate Storyline which was also reviewed and approved by the SME. Upon approval, I subsequently uploaded the module to the learning management system.
