Context

This Presentation was created in 2023 in an effort to provide supplemental learning materials for students learning Middle Eastern dance. The majority of the students are middle-aged or senior women who are new or have basic knowledge of Middle Eastern drum rhythms. 

Conditions

I developed this presentation independently as the writer, videographer, and editor. Due to time constraints with other projects and responsibilities, I reserved two weeks to develop this video. The first week was dedicated to scripting and filming. The second, to editing. I developed the content based on my own personal knowledge on the subject and feedback from other dance instructors knowledgeable about the subject. I recorded myself playing the drum and created the animated graphics in Canva and Vyond Animation.

Scope

This is the final version of the presentation. Once completed, it was uploaded to an online student group where 32 students and dancers viewed it as a reference.

Role

I am both the class instructor and developer of the course. I scripted, filmed, and edited the video content. I am also the instructor and moderator of the online group this video was uploaded to.
