Context

The idea for this project came from a request from my supervisor and the bureau chief. They wanted to do something special to celebrate the holidays. In 2019, the previous senior instructional designer organized a holiday music video and our team wished to do something similar for 2023.

Conditions

I created the concept for the project individually. First, I selected appropriate music and developed a concept plan for the video. After the plan was completed and approved by management, I scheduled a day when the entire team could gather to film the video. I directed each team member to execute actions for each scene until completion. In addition to directing the video, I edited the video myself via Adobe Premier Pro, Audition and Canva.

Scope

I completed this project within a week. I allowed myself 2 days to complete the concept plan and was allowed one day to film. After filming, I edited and completed the video within two days. My supervisor and bureau chief requested to have the video complete by the date of the division holiday celebration.

Role

For this project, I was the producer, director and editor. Upon completing the production, the video was submitted to management and subsequently displayed during the holiday celebration.
